I have often wondered how deli meat is created? Obviously it’s meat,  but what kind of meat are we actually consuming? What else are they putting into it? The History Channel recently went to various plants where the best part of your sandwich is made. Just like Vince from slapchop’s line from the well-known commercial, fettuccinni, martini, linguini, bikini; this food writer is saying bologna, salami, pastrami, and…head cheese? Ok, not exactly sure where I was going with this, so here are the 4 parts:

  • Part 1: Bologna, and genoa salami
  • Part 2: Pastrami
  • Part 3: Head Cheese (nasty), Liverwurst, and Olive loaf (no, this is not bread)
  • Part 4: Tofurkey (turkey made from tofu)
