I Love My NaturSource Nuts

Once in a while, I come across a product that I enjoy so much, that I can’t resist to share. Almost every morning, I eat yogurt with fruit, and sometimes granola, some sort of seed, and raisins. Making my own blend of dried fruit, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, etc. is not necessarily something I like doing, so I’m always browsing the grocery store shelves to find healthy alternatives. I’ve learned that finding the right mix is not that easy. Many brands have added oils (sunflower, canola, vegetable) to prolong the life of the contents inside, which is not always necessarily healthy. Based on the contents inside, some products may seem healthy, but they may be added salts, saturated fats, and other things that may not be. It’s always important to read the labels carefully. So when I found NaturSource, I was very happy to find that not only are their products 100% natural, but they are also a Montreal based company, AND a family business. Nice! I tried all of what they had to offer in order to find the right one for the best occasion, be it breakfast, or a light snack.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been adding a handful of So Smart, a crunchy mix of granola clusters, pumpkin seeds and a variety of dried fruit like blueberries, cherries, and cranberries. Easily one of the healthier options to mix with yogurt in the morning.

Also, the Lite bag is good too. It includes a generous amount of cashews and almonds with raisins and dried cranberries.

I also really enjoyed the hearty Voyageur Ultra. It’s about the same as the Lite one, except it contains dried dates, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds.

There are also a few options I found that are good for entertaining. Tamari almonds provide a nice smokey flavor for guests to nibble on, and they also come in an organic version.

If you enjoy a nice rosemary flavor, then I recommend Oh Rosemary, which has a nice subtle spicy flavor with a hint of rosemary over almonds, cashew pieces, and pecans. And they’re baked!

My absolute favorite, and the ones I can eat forever are Luxure. A sweet and salty sesame taste is just what these cashews wanted. I classify these as simply addictive and impossible to put down.

So as you can see, I love these nuts…and seeds, and dried fruit. The flavors are right without using anything over-the-top. It’s what I would use to entertain, snack on, and make part of a meal. I like dining at many restaurants in this city, but sometimes I need something that I can control as part of my daily diet. NaturSource enables me to do that with products I trust and that are made right here.
